Care Guide

One of the best ways to keep your Amelfi cushions looking good is to brush off dirt before it becomes embedded in the fabric and wipe up spills or clean the cushions soon after a stain occurs.  The quicker you clean spills and stains, the easier they can be to remove.

All our cushions are supplied with removable covers which can be either machine or hand-washed to tackle dirt and stains.

If machine-washing, use a cold water / delicate cycle. If hand-washing, soak the covers in a lukewarm basin of water with mild detergent and rinse thoroughly. In the unlikely event of mould appearing on your cushions, add a small cup of bleach.

Always air dry afterwards and only use an iron on the lowest setting, without steaming.

Should your cushions lose any of their water resistance after multiple washings, spray on a coat of 303 Marine Fabric Guard which the manufacturers claim “restores water repellency to factory-new levels”. Alternatively ask your dry cleaner to apply a ‘Scotchguard’ or similar treatment.

If, for any reason, you are dissatisfied with the appearance or weather resistance of your cushions please do let us know so that we can help to remedy the situation.  Additionally, for specific common stains please do contact us for a stain chart.
